I’ve changed my publication name to better encompass my goals with this blog. I’ve decided upon Fundamentally, which is inspired by a couple of core driving philosophies I hold and core topics I like to cover:
First Principles
Maybe this is the engineer in me coming out, or a result of the kool-aid I drank while at Tesla, but I’ve noticed that in whatever I cover I tend to break things down to bare bones, whether it be business models or value chains, which I don’t foresee myself deviating from in the near future
Fundamental Investing
Though I tend to gravitate towards private markets and especially early-stage investments these days, I’m still deeply interested in the core principles of fundamental value investing: determining intrinsic value, developing variant perceptions, and how public markets inform private investing
Fundamental Breakdowns
Lastly, something I do foresee myself pursuing more is fundamental breakdowns of complicated technologies I come across, whether that be as a banker, product manager, or investor. Given my passion for ML, DevTools/DevOps, Databases, Climate Investing, and Deeptech, I’ve encountered numerous companies I’ve needed to do a deep dive on or examine whitepapers to understand, and I’m excited to share my findings as I undergo my learning journey
Regardless, the principles of my old name, Bear With Me, still hold—I’ll be continuing to learn-through-writing and explore passions I couldn’t even claim to be an expert in. At the end of the day, writing for me is all about challenging myself, something I don’t see myself stopping soon.
Exciting!
